Highlighting the fusion of the Hindu and Muslim styles of architecture, the Mahal derives its name from its beautiful, geometrically arranged cusped arches that resemble the petals of the lotus opening to the sun.

Daily flights are available between Jindal Vijayanagar Airport ( 38 Kms from Hampi ) to Bengaluru and Hyderabad under UDAAN Scheme. Flights are also available to Hubballi Airport which is 150 Kms away from Hampi.
By Train
Hosapete is the nearest railway station which is 12 Kms away from Hampi. Daily trains are available from Hubli and Guntakal junctions to Hosapete.

Vijayanagara District is well connected by Bus through state highway and National Highway. Buses are available to all major cities of karnataka from ballari ( 65 Kms from Hampi ) and Hosapete (12 Kms from Hampi).
